Turkish rental company Doğu Kurtarma Vinç has taken delivery of a 300 tonne Liebherr LTM 1300-6.4 All Terrain crane, filling the gap between its existing 220 tonne model and flagship 500 tonner.

The six axle, single engine crane replaces a 220 tonne LTM 1220-5.1 and becomes its new flagship. The LTM 1300-6 – updated last May – features an eight section, 90 metre main boom topped by an 11.5 to 20 metre bi-fold swingaway extension, to which two seven metre inserts can be added between the boom nose and swingaway for a tip height of 121 metres. Other features include the Variobase Plus outrigger setup system, which offers a wider, more variable rear outrigger spread – up to 9.4 metres – as well as AutoBallast. The crane will be used for high rise and tower crane projects as well as within ship building and energy infrastructure.

Mehmet Önal, owner of Doğu Kurtarma Vinç said: “The compact design, robust undercarriage construction and efficient rigging logistics of the six axle mobile crane help to implement projects more quickly and safely in a growing urban environment such as Istanbul. To further enhance safety, the crane has also been fitted with a camera system at the jib tip.”
Founded in 1980 and based in Malatya, central/ east Turkey, Doğu Kurtarma Vinç runs a fleet of 20 cranes including seven telescopic units from Liebherr as well as self erectors and truck mounts.
