German rental company Fröhlich Bau Kran & Baustellenlogistik has taken delivery of a 450 tonne Grove GMK6450-1 All Terrain crane.
The six axle crane – delivered through Grove dealer Kranagentur Werner – features a five section 60 metre main boom, to which the 79 metres of luffing jib can be added for a 136 metre maximum tip height. Other features include Maxbase variable outrigger set-up system and the Grove Mega Wing Lift self-rigging Superlift system, which increases capacities when installed by up to 70 percent on the main boom and up to 400 percent on the luffing jib. The new crane is set to be used primarily for the installation of tower cranes.

The company added that a further Grove crane is due to arrive shortly, although it oddly declined to disclose the model.
Based in Rangsdorf, south of Berlin, the company runs a fleet of All Terrain cranes up to a 700 tonne Liebherr, as well as mobile self-erecting tower cranes, Rough Terrains, crawler cranes up to 350 tonnes, regular tower cranes and articulated loader cranes.
