For a long time now, the clock has been ticking for Lufthansa’s remaining Airbus A340-600 airframes. While delivery delays to new widebodies have seen the stretched quadjet’s time at the airline, it seems at least a little more certain that an end date has been set for the type. Indeed, scheduling data suggests that the ‘A346s’ will be retired this October.
