Inflight Feed has announced that The Inflight Lab will return to Europe on 9-10 June 2026, hosted in Vienna in collaboration with Austrian Airlines. The workshop will bring together senior inflight service professionals from airlines across Europe and beyond for two days of hands-on collaboration, problem-solving, and honest industry conversation.
The agenda will be confirmed in early April, shaped by a live survey of attending airlines to ensure the content directly addresses what participants are working on right now.
Early registrations point to strong interest in food cost and waste reduction, including the role of AI, and the legislation that shapes what airlines can and can’t do, crew consistency and engagement as a service differentiator, what economy class and business-class excellence actually looks like in practice, and the harder question of what passengers genuinely value versus what airlines assume they value.
Confirmed participants include senior inflight and catering representatives from Aegean Airlines, Austrian Airlines, British Airways, Lufthansa, ITA Airways, Air Dolomiti, LOT, Discover Airlines, and others.

The Inflight Lab takes a different approach to some industry events. There are no vendor booths, no sales presentations, and no sponsor logos on every surface. Airlines lead the conversation. Suppliers participate as genuine thought partners, bringing expertise rather than pitches.
Inflight Feed believes that when the sales agenda is removed, the conversations go deeper, and the outcomes are more useful.
The event organiser says that previous workshops in Melbourne, Hong Kong, London and Amsterdam have produced concrete results: new meal concepts, sustainability initiatives, and genuine supplier relationships built on shared problem-solving rather than transactional exchanges.
“Remove the sales agenda, and conversations go deeper. When there’s no booth to staff and no pitch to deliver, you actually solve problems together,” said Nik Loukas, founder of Inflight Feed.

A small number of sponsorship opportunities are available for suppliers who want to be part of the conversation. Sponsorship of the event is not about logos, it is about being in the room with the people who make inflight purchasing decisions, as a genuine participant.
