DRF Akademie is acquiring an additional Airbus H145 D3 H10 Flight Training Device (FTD) Level 3 from Reiser Simulation and Training (RST). The FTD is designed to obtain Multi-Crew Coordination (MCC) approval from regulators and features the latest avionics software.
The simulator is expected to enter service in early July, and will be based in Frankfurt to be operated Lufthansa Aviation Training.
“This project underlines our shared commitment to innovation and operational excellence,” said Johannes Hain, CEO of RST. “Delivering this H145 D3 simulator with MCC approval, demonstrates how forward-looking training concepts can be successfully realized through strong partnerships.”
“With this investment, we are taking another decisive step toward future-proof pilot training,” commented Florian Rabe, Managing Director of DRF Akademie. “As one of the first organizations using this new device, we benefit directly from our close cooperation with Reiser Simulation and Training, to respond quickly to operational requirements while maintaining the highest training standards for our clients. The new simulator complements the H145/H135 Full Flight Simulator at LAT in Frankfurt and can be integrated with our hoist simulator ‘hoistAR’, enabling a broader and highly flexible training portfolio.”
“In combination with our state-of-the-art fleet, the new simulator provides our crews with optimal training conditions,” added Dr. Krystian Pracz, CEO of DRF Luftrettung. “This not only enhances training quality but also safeguards operational readiness across our 32 HEMS bases in Germany – for the benefit of our patients.”
