7Air has promoted Juan Nunez to accountable executive and chief operating officer one year after the airline became FAA-certified.
Nunez was previously director of flight operations for 7Air since October 2023. Prior to that he worked as director of operations for the FAA.
In his new role, Nunez will have overall responsibility for ensuring that the airline operates in full compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, while also overseeing the efficiency and performance of day-to-day operations.
As accountable executive, he will serve as the primary point of accountability to the FAA, ensuring that the company has the necessary resources, processes, and oversight in place to maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance.
“Juan brings with him extensive leadership experience and a strong operational background, and we are confident that his leadership will support the continued growth and success of our organization,” said 7Air.
Earlier this week, 7Air completed its inaugural flight to Hewanorra International Airport (UVF) in St. Lucia.
Operated in partnership with West Tech Shipping, the service aims to strengthen logistics connectivity between Miami and the Eastern Caribbean and will serve demand for retail, e-commerce, agriculture, manufacturing, and distribution.
It will initially operate once per week, with plans to expand to twice weekly based on demand.
