World Star Aviation (WSA) has delivered a leased Boeing 737-400SF (special freighter) to UAE-based aviation solutions company and cargo airline, Sky One.
The converted 737-400SF is the third aircraft that WSA has leased to Sky One as the airline aims to grow its regional and international operations, said the lessor in a press statement.
“By adding another aircraft to the partnership, WSA continues to support SKY ONE as the airline expands its fleet,” commented WSA.
The aircraft’s Manufacturer’s Serial Number is 25110, said WSA. According to data from Airfleets, the aircraft first flew in 1994 and was last placed with ASL Airlines Belgium.
The 737-400 freighter is tailored for short and medium cargo routes, with a payload capacity of 20 tons and a range of 3,700 km.
Publicly available sources suggest the airline also has two 757-200 passenger to freighter (P2F) aircraft in its fleet, however, Air Cargo News has contacted World Star and Sky One for confirmation.
Sky One is based at Sharjah International Airport (SHJ) and specialises in providing aviation solutions through aircraft charters and wet leases. The company has a fleet of helicopters, cargo and passenger aircraft.
In December, WSA delivered a 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF) to West Atlantic UK to support the operator’s air cargo network in the UK and Europe.
