“Enabled by the next-generation capabilities of our incoming A321XLR aircraft, travellers on the only non-stop service from North America now have convenient options to reach the island renowned for its stunning volcanic scenery, a rich array of bucket-list activities and year-round warm weather,” said Mark Galardo, Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Cargo at Air Canada.
All flights will be operated with the Airbus A321XLR, a long-range narrowbody aircraft that Air Canada is introducing into its fleet in 2026. The model has a range of up to 4,700 nautical miles and is configured with 182 seats, including 14 lie-flat business class seats.
Air Canada has ordered 30 A321XLRs and expects 11 deliveries in 2026. The aircraft will be used on transatlantic routes, starting with Montreal–Palma de Mallorca service in June, before expanding to additional European leisure destinations such as Tenerife.
