Airbus Helicopters have reported a sluggish start to the year with net orders for the quarter down by 20% compared with the same period last year with 79 orders posted, versus 100 in Q1 2025. As a result the company’s order backlog stands at 1,060 helicopters 13% higher than at this point last year.
On the revenue side, the position remained very close to the 2025 figures although they were very slightly higher EUR1.604 billion versus EUR1.600 bn. This parity was not however reflected in the Earnings Before Interest and Taxation (EBIT) with a 17% fall compared with Q1 last year (EUR65 million vs EUR78m).
While Airbus says that it continues to monitor the evolving situation in the Arabian Gulf it does not see a need to modify its 2026 predictions made in December.
