Pentastar Aviation has received a Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) for Gulfstream GIV/G450/GV/G550 airframes from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for Gogo LX5, the highest performing air-to-ground (ATG) solution purpose-built for business aviation.
Gogo LX5 will deliver an enhanced inflight connectivity (IFC) experience for owners and operators flying predominantly in North America and Canada, providing customers with more speed, bandwidth, live experiences, and the ability to connect more devices for crew and passengers.
The Gogo LX5 Connectivity System –
Offers coverage across the continental US and Canada.
Is a low-profile, lightweight and budget-friendly solution allowing customers high-speed connectivity with low latency.
Offers flexibility in configuration and service plans.
Is an upgrade from AVANCE L3/L5 or another system.
Users appreciate Gogo’s 24/7/365 customer support from an expert human team in multiple languages.
The Gogo LX5 upgrade is a quick and easy way to greatly improve your internet capabilities for CONUS and Canadian travel. It’s a great solution to replace the obsolete ATG 4000/5000 system, or improve the existing L5 system, allowing owners to get back in the air and enjoy their internet the way it’s meant to be enjoyed.
“Here at Pentastar we take great pride in providing the highest quality maintenance,” said Shane Smith, Avionics Sales and Engineering Manager at Pentastar. “Our technicians are second to none when it comes to expertise, professionalism, and overall quality and care given to your aircraft. This STC upgrade can be installed at our Oakland County International Airport (KPTK) location.”
If desired, the LX5 upgrade can be easily paired with the new Gogo Galileo HDX, or the Galileo FDX, available Q4 2026.
