ANA and The Pokémon Company have unveiled the next generation of Pokémon Jets, with three specially painted aircraft set to take to the skies as part of a double anniversary celebration in 2026.
The new aircraft mark 30 years since the release of Pokémon Red and Pokémon Green in Japan, as well as the 40th anniversary of ANA’s international flights. The project continues a long-running relationship between ANA and Pokémon that began with the world’s first Pokémon Jet in 1998.
This time, ANA is introducing three aircraft: Pokémon Jet Red, Pokémon Jet Green, and Pokémon Jet Blue. Each aircraft will feature a themed livery inspired by Pokémon’s first partner Pokémon, with Pikachu joining the adventure across the designs.
Pokémon Jet Red: Fire-type Pokémon on domestic routes
Pokémon Jet Red will be the first of the new trio to enter service. The aircraft, Boeing 787-8 JA819A, is scheduled to begin flying domestic routes in Japan in late July 2026.
The design features Pikachu alongside Fire-type first partner Pokémon, connecting the livery to the early choices players make at the start of a Pokémon adventure. For spotters and Flightradar24 users, JA819A will be the first registration to watch as ANA begins rolling out the new project.
ANA lists the main planned domestic routes for Pokémon Jet Red as flights to and from Tokyo Haneda, including Sapporo New Chitose, Hakodate, Osaka Itami, Takamatsu, Matsuyama, Hiroshima, Fukuoka, Nagasaki, Kagoshima, Okinawa Naha, Miyako, and Ishigaki. The aircraft is also expected to appear on selected routes to and from Osaka Itami, including Sapporo New Chitose, Okinawa Naha, Miyako, and Ishigaki.
While ANA says these will be the most likely routes, the best way to catch Pokémon Jet Red will be to track JA819A directly once it enters service.

Pokémon Jet Green: Grass-type Pokémon heading international

Pokémon Jet Green will be a Boeing 787-9, registered JA923A, and is planned for international routes. ANA has not yet announced its launch date or full route list.
The Green design features Pikachu together with Grass-type first partner Pokémon from across the game series. Once ANA confirms the launch date and operating routes, JA923A is likely to become one of the most closely watched Dreamliners in the airline’s long-haul fleet.
Pokémon Jet Green will be the easiest of the new trio to spot outside of Japan, thanks to its placement in ANA’s international route network.

Pokémon Jet Blue: a 737-800 to be unveiled soon
The third aircraft, Pokémon Jet Blue, will be a Boeing 737-800 operating on domestic routes. ANA has not yet announced its registration, launch date, or final design details.
Together, the Red, Green, and Blue aircraft mirror the colors most closely associated with the early Pokémon games, giving ANA a three-aircraft special livery series that spans both widebody and narrowbody aircraft.
Pokémon: inside and out
The Pokémon theme will continue inside the aircraft. Similar to other Pokémon jets, ANA says the onboard experience will include themed cabin touches and passenger amenities, including headrest covers, limited-edition cups, cocktail napkins on international flights, and commemorative items.
