Textron's CJ3 Gen2 and King Air Crimson Edition make Oshkosh debut

EAA AirVenture is the perfect chance for companies to showcase their products and Textron is no different. The company announced on July 14 that the 2026 AirVenture Oshkosh will mark the public-show debut of the Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 and Beechcraft King Air 360 Crimson Edition. Neither aircraft is brand new, but the importance is visibility at the show, not the aircraft themselves. Context The Cessna Citation CJ3 Gen2 is a light business jet that earned FAA certification in Oct. 2025 and had its first delivery in Jan. 2026. It is an upgrade of the existing Citation line, with a refreshed cabin, avionics and Garmin autothrottle. The Beechcraft King Air 360 Crimson Edition is a special paint and interior package for the existing King Air 360. The package is to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the King Air line. Textron says more than 7,900 King Air aircraft have been delivered since it was first introduced in 1964. Its long production run has contributed to a broad operator base and extensive support network. The Crimson edition is meant to celebrate the line’s impact on the aviation industry. While its specs are the same as other King Air 360s, the distinctive paint and interior package is intended to create additional interest among AirVenture attendees. The CJ3 Gen2 introduces updates that keep the aircraft up to date with current buyer expectations. The updates focus on cabin comfort, technology and features that have become increasingly common in newer aircraft. The AirVenture appearance allows the company to showcase both established and recently updated products to one of aviation’s largest and most engaged audiences.
