Bromma Air Maintenance (BAM), together with Trakka Systems, has been awarded a four year contract to upgrade the Estonian Police and Border Guard’s three Leonardo AW139s.
Financed by European Union’s Cohesion Fund project “Increasing Maritime Rescue Capability”, and co-financed by the Estonian state budge the contract, awarded under “Purchase of Helicopters SAR Mission Equipment and System Integration No. 310561”, will see the aircraft equipped with advanced mission systems intended to enhance their capabilities for border and maritime patrol, surveillance, and search and rescue operations.
The expectation is that these upgrades will improve situational awareness, operational effectiveness, and mission response capability, enabling crews to perform their duties more safely and efficiently.
