FARNBOROUGH—Air France-KLM Group has signed an agreement with GE Aerospace for the engine manufacturer’s Fuel Insight fuel optimization solution.
The five-year agreement was announced at the airshow on Monday. Four Dutch airlines within the Air France-KLM Group—KLM, KLC, Martinair and Transavia Holland—already use Fuel Insight; the new deal extends its use across all Group carriers, including Air France, Hop! and Transavia France.
Fuel Insight helps optimize fuel planning and efficiency by providing fuel consumption metrics to calculate aircraft performance factors and integrate them with flight planning systems. GE Aerospace estimates Fuel Insight has supported approximately 1.4 million tons of CO2 savings across customers.
“Fuel Insight helps airlines spend less time chasing data and more time capturing savings, surfacing actionable opportunities, tracking impact over time, and helping ensure fuel-saving efforts translate into repeatable results,” GE Aerospace Software as a Service president and general manager Andrew Coleman said.
