ACS UK, an aircraft interiors hardware company, has expanded its UK operations with the addition of a new manufacturing facility in Cambridge. The facility, named Novus, is located next to the company’s existing site in Cambridge, and will complement ACS UK’s current operations. The facility is expected to become fully operational later this year.
The company says the site represents a “significant investment” in capacity and capability. The building spans 21,467 square feet across two floors, with dedicated space for final assembly lines, and test and development areas, to help the business to meet increasing demand in the cabin interiors sector.
The expansion follows ACS UK reporting it enjoyed an “exceptionally strong” start to the year, which saw the business exceed its 2026 sales targets for new customers by “a substantial margin” within the first few months. ACS UK partly attributes the success to the record sales many airlines reported in April, and its highly successful presence at this year’s Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) in Hamburg.
The company says its upward sales trajectory reflects both strong market demand and increasing airline customer engagement.
“This expansion is a direct response to the strength of our business and the confidence we have in our future. Our return to the market has exceeded expectations, with demand significantly outpacing our initial projections and our order books performing strongly,” commented Nigel McSorley, CEO of ACS UK.
“Now is the right time to invest further in our facilities. The new site gives us the infrastructure to increase production, enhance the customer experience, and build for the next phase of our growth.”
As well as increasing operational capacity, the Novus site is intended to create a modern and welcoming environment for visiting customers. The one-acre site includes a dedicated yard and incorporates electric vehicle charging points, 60 parking spaces, photovoltaic panels to support on-site energy generation, and bicycle storage to encourage sustainable commuting.
