Teledyne FLIR OEM, part of Teledyne Technologies Incorporated has been selected to support the US Army’s Delivering Unmatched Thermal Capability Hastened (DUTCH) initiative. DUTCH aims to enhance next-generation uncooled thermal infrared (IR) sensing for defence applications.
The initiative will focus on improving uncooled thermal sensor performance while reducing size, weight, power and cost. The Army is also looking to scale these technologies for high-volume production to enable future defence programs. Uncooled thermal sensors are used for a variety of defence applications, including counter-uncrewed aerial systems.
Teledyne FLIR OEM will further develop uncooled thermal imaging technologies and help drive efforts aligned with US Army modernisation priorities. The company continues to invest in small-pixel pitch uncooled thermal architectures, including recent technologies that scale integration across defence and uncrewed missions.
