Oyster Yachts is sailing into new territory.
The British builder, which specializes in bluewater sailing yachts, has unveiled the first sailing catamaran in its 53-year history. T to cater to a growing demand for multihulls.
“We have always evolved by listening to our owners,” Oyster Yachts CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke said in a statement. “We have seen some move towards multihulls as their lives and ambitions have changed, and we have also heard from prospective owners who are drawn to Oyster but see a catamaran as the right yacht for them.”
Developed in partnership with French firm Berret-Racoupeau, the new Oyster C60 brings the stability and space of a multihull, the luxury of a motor yacht, and the performance of a sailing yacht together in one relatively compact 64-foot package.
The cat has been designed for long-range cruising, balancing comfort and style with performance and handling. It offers just under 1,200 square feet of interior and exterior space, giving ample room for lounging and entertaining.

Wide opening doors connect the main salon to the aft deck, which is equipped with fold-out platforms that expand to create large waterside terraces. A bar serves both spaces, creating one flowing indoor-outdoor living area. The recessed foredeck lounge and the elevated flybridge also provide ample space for alfresco hangs.
Heading indoors, the owner’s suite is positioned away from guest and crew areas to ensure the utmost privacy. It is outfitted with Oyster’s signature triple Seascape windows, resulting in a light, airy atmosphere. The remaining three guest cabins all have en suites, making the yacht particularly well-suited to long voyages with family and/or friends.
As for power, the cat is envisioned with twin 110 hp engines and a mainsail area of roughly 1,300 square feet. (These are preliminary specs and may change as the design and engineering progress.) Oyster has not yet shared an estimated top speed or range, but says substantial onboard capacity supports extended periods away from shore. Up to three feet of bridgedeck clearance also contributes to the C60’s offshore capability.
The cat is fit for everything from coastal cruising to extended ocean passages, according to Oyster.
