Air France announced on September 15, 2026, that it will open its own 29,000-square-foot (2,694-square-meter) lounge at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) New Terminal One.
The new two-floor facility, which will service passengers traveling on Air France, KLM and other SkyTeam airlines from Q1 2027, has been designed by an Air France in-house team in collaboration with design agency MARKS Brandimage.
It will have the capacity to seat up to 400 guests at any one time, who will have access to a range of French gastronomic offerings, including a curated selection of wines and champagnes, also from France. The lounge will also feature dedicated areas for beauty treatments, relaxation, and work.
Travelers with the highest tier status within the Flying Blue loyalty program (Flying Blue Ultimate) will have a separate section within the lounge for their exclusive use.
Passengers flying on “La Première”, Air France’s luxurious first class service, will also enjoy a personalized treatment within the lounge, with access to a special culinary offering with the signature of a renowned French chef.
“Air France’s investment in our terminal’s biggest lounge represents a strong vote of confidence in the seamless and modern travel experience we are building,” said Jennifer Aument, CEO of New Terminal One, in a press release announcing the new lounge. “Together, we are delivering a transformative travel experience that elevates the customer journey and strengthens loyalty across the vital transatlantic market.”
Air France was one of the first airlines to announce its commitment to JFK’s New Terminal One, which has been developed to serve as the main gateway to New York and the United States for international carriers.
According to Cirium SRS Analyzer data, during the summer season of 2026, the French flag carrier operated up to six daily flights to JFK from its Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) hub, while KLM operates another two to three flights per day to Amsterdam-Schiphol (AMS).
Within the greater New York City area, Air France also serves Newark Liberty International (EWR) with an additional two daily flights. Air France also codeshares three daily flights between JFK and Paris-CDG operated by its partner Delta Air Lines. The US carrier, however, will continue to operate from JFK’s Terminal 4.
