Turkish American aerial lift and telehandler manufacturer AXCS Equipment has announced a new range of North American telehandlers.
The new five model TH Series includes three mid range models, the 8,000lbs/42ft (3,600kg/12.8m) TH-842 with 8.7 metres forward reach, the 9,000lb/44.8ft (4,000kg /13.6m/) TH-944 with 9.4 metres of forward reach, and the 10,000lbs/44.8ft (4,500kg/13.6m) TH-1044 with a forward reach of 9.4 metres.
And two larger ‘top end’ straight frame models: the 10,000lbs/56ft (4,500kg/17m) TH-1056 and the 12,000lbs/56ft (5,400kg/17m) TH-1256. The two units share an identical chassis and four-section boom, with Deutz Tier 4 diesel power without the need for Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) or Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF). They feature a maximum forward reach of 42.25ft (12.88m), at which point they can handle 3,000 lbs /1,360kg.
All five models have a high level of parts and component commonality and are targeted at commercial construction, steel erection, and industrial infrastructure projects. Options include fully enclosed cabs with heating and air conditioning, backup cameras with integrated proximity sensors, a Load Management System (LLMI), and premium joysticks with integrated drive and shift control functions.
AXCS chief executive Eric Liner said: “With the launch of our TH-Series telehandlers, AXCS is cementing its position as a complete, one-stop fleet partner for our rental and distribution networks. By expanding our reach into the high capacity, 56ft telehandler market, we are giving our customers the heavy duty lifting power they need on complex commercial, infrastructure, and modular job sites, backed by the same ‘rental tough’ reliability and partnership they’ve always expected from our scissor lifts.”

The AXCS brand was created last January, following the 2023 acquisition of low level scissor lift manufacturer Custom/ Hy-Brid by Turkish group Asko Holding, which already owned aerial lift company (ELS) and telehandler manufacturer (MTS). The company is based in Richfield, Wisconsin and now offers scissor lifts, telehandlers, and mast lifts.

Penetrating the well-developed telehandler market is a real challenge for any company. Your product cannot be too different or radical, and as most telehandlers use the same components, it is hard to ‘stand out and be noticed’. The key specifications are well established, and few buyers are interested in changing to a new spec, or taking a risk with a new supplier.
Add to this the fact that Chinese manufacturers now also seem serious about carving out a position in the telehandler market, and it is crystal clear that making any impact or inroads into this market will be a long, hard slog for AXCS, and it is unlikely to make any money with this new range, any time soon.
