DENVER, Colorado – September 2026 – Ethereal Space, Inc. today announced that it has been awarded Task Order 1 under NOAA’s ProTech 2.0 Space-Based Environmental Monitoring (SBEM) program, following NOAA’s official announcement of the award.
The 24-month Task Order has a total contract value of approximately $27.4 million, with initial data deliveries scheduled to begin December 1, 2026.
Under the SBEM program, Ethereal Space will provide commercial space-based environmental observations supporting NOAA’s operational mission. Ethereal’s capabilities span GNSS radio occultation for atmospheric and ionospheric observations, thermospheric neutral-density measurements, and multispectral visible and infrared imagery.
