Airbus launched its A350F freighter into the sky for the first time on 29 September 2026, capping years of ground-based testing and development with a 4 hour, 14 minute flight over France from Toulouse to Toulouse.

The A350-1041F lifted off for the first time at 08:30 UTC (10:30 local time) from Toulouse’s Runway 14R. Turning to the west, the flight set upon a north-south track traversing back and forth over southern France. The aircraft made a low pass over Toulouse Airport before coming around again for landing.

Airbus has collected 115 total A350 freighter orders through August 2026. Atlas Air, currently an all-Boeing airline, has the largest order book at 20 aircraft on order.
