Rotortrade has confirmed the delivery of a 2020 Airbus H125 to Vman Aviation Services in India.
The aircraft is further leased to ABS Aerospace, led by CEO Air Commodore Anil Kumar Sinha, Vir Chakra (Retd), and will be deployed for passenger transportation, including helicopter pilgrimage services to temples and religious sites in mountainous regions of the country.
The aircraft was acquired by Vman Aviation Services, led by Vishok Mansingh, and will be leased to ABS Aerospace. The aircraft is scheduled to enter into service in September 2026.
The project was managed by Vijay Sharma, Rotortrade’s Sales Manager for the Indian Subcontinent. A key part of the process was identifying an aircraft that could provide the right operational and economic proposition for the customer. In addition to its relatively young age and low flight hours, the H125 was offered with access to a Safran SBH program.
Sharma said: “Vman Aviation is building a genuine leasing capability in India, and our role was to source the right asset to support it. An H125 with low hours and Safran SBH coverage gives Vman a sound aircraft for its leasing business, and ABS Aerospace a proven platform for demanding passenger operations in the mountains.”
In India, Rotortrade has invested in a full-time presence on the ground, combining local commercial support with technical preparation through its own MRO network capabilities. The company sees India as one of the fastest-maturing helicopter markets in the region, with the adoption of the Cape Town Convention and new leasing frameworks encouraging the development of local leasing and financing capabilities.
Vishok Mansingh, CEO of Vman Aviation Services, said: “For a lessor, what matters is receiving an aircraft that is truly ready for operations. Rotortrade prepared the H125 through one of its own MRO (Tallard, France) and delivered it in excellent condition, fully documented and ready to be placed with our operator. That level of technical preparation is what allows us to grow our leasing business in India with confidence, and there is much more to come.”
