Texas-based operator will continue to fly the heavy-twins in support of government customers until 2033.
Lessor Milestone Aviation has agreed a long-term lease extension covering 11 Airbus Helicopters H225s operated by Air Center Helicopters.
Commencing in May 2027, the extensions run for six years until June 2033.
Texas-headquartered Air Center – the largest H225 operator in the Americas – currently flies the heavy-twins on government, utility and mission-critical operations in the USA and worldwide.
Earlier this year, Air Center was awarded an $82.8 million contract by the US Navy to perform ship-to-ship cargo transfer services. The deal runs until 2032.
“We are pleased to further strengthen our long-standing relationship with Air Center through this transaction,” says Sebastien Moulin, chief commercial officer of Milestone.
“These lease extensions underscore the strength of our partnership and the continued value of the H225 platform in supporting complex and demanding operations.”
In addition to the leased aircraft, Air Center has another 12 H225s in its fleet. All are former oil and gas-roled helicopters removed from that market in the wake of a fatal 2016 crash.
