Singapore Airlines (SIA) is rolling out enhancements to its KrisWorld in-flight entertainment (IFE) platform, with highlights being 4K resolution touchscreen seatback displays (OLED screens will be fitted on selected aircraft and cabin classes), spatial audio, Bluetooth headphone pairing, a redesigned user interface, a wellness planner, personalisation features, and more than 2,500 entertainment content options.
SIA’s next-generation KrisWorld systems will be introduced on its 41 retrofitted Airbus A350-900 long-haul and A350-900 ultra-long-range (ULR) aircraft, which will enter service progressively from 2027, as well as on its upcoming Boeing 777-9 aircraft.
- The First Class cabins of the new B777-9s and retrofitted A350-900ULRs will be fitted with 32-inch 4K OLED IFE displays.
- The Business Class cabins of the retrofitted A350-900ULRs and A350-900LRs will have 22-inch 4K OLED screens, while the new B777-9s will have 20-inch 4K OLED screens.
- On the Boeing 777-9s, the Premium Economy Class cabins will have 4K touchscreens of up to 16 inches, while the Economy Class screens will be up to 13 inches. OLED displays will also be available on selected aircraft.
The immersive spatial audio technology will be available on all these aircraft, in every class, enhancing the depth and clarity of the listening experience. The three-dimensional soundscape makes action sequences feel more dynamic, concerts feel more atmospheric, and dialogue seem clearer.
First Class customers will have use of Bang & Olufsen Bluetooth wireless headphones with active noise cancellation, while Business Class and Premium Economy customers will be offered active noise-cancellation headphones, and Economy Class customers will be offered wired earphones. Customers may also pair their own compatible Bluetooth headphones with KrisWorld.

A redesigned user interface
The new generation of KrisWorld also brings in a redesigned interface with clearer menus, larger icons, and improved search and filter functions that can help customers find content more quickly and easily.
A new mini-player allows customers to continue watching a video in a smaller window while browsing other content on the KrisWorld platform. Customers will also be able to create shortcuts to preferred media categories.

A sidebar will display real-time flight information, such as the time to destination and weather conditions, without interrupting the viewing experience.
For young travellers, Kids Mode provides an age-appropriate environment with a selection of children’s movies, television shows, and music, presented through a simplified interface.

Entertainment choices refreshed every month
Customers may choose from more than 2,500 inflight entertainment options across a wide range of languages and genres, including the latest Hollywood titles, international cinema, regional content, full seasons of television box sets, plus music and podcasts. KrisWorld includes content from Apple TV, BBC, CNA, HBO Max, iQIYI, and Paramount+. Real-time news and sports will be available through the BBC News and Sport 24 live television channels.
SIA’s entertainment library is refreshed monthly, with titles selected in response to customer feedback and viewing trends.
Customers can log in to the KrisWorld system using their KrisFlyer account to receive tailored IFE recommendations, resume programmes from where they left off on a previous flight, and save titles for future journeys. They can also view connecting flight information, including the gate and terminal, for their onward SIA flights departing from Singapore.
Wellness via KrisWorld
The next-generation KrisWorld includes a wellness planner, with content that includes sleep and meditation tracks, videos featuring breathing exercises and light in-seat stretches, and articles on healthy living.
The wellness planner can also offer recommendations on seat positions and lighting in First Class and Business Class, as well as beverage suggestions across cabin classes to support comfort on long-haul flights.

High-speed inflight connectivity
SIA will progressively introduce Starlink’s low-Earth orbit (LEO) satellite-based broadband services on its Airbus A380, A350-900 long-haul, and A350-900ULR aircraft from early 2027. Details of the high-speed connectivity plans for other SIA fleets will be shared when they have been confirmed.
Customers travelling in Suites, First Class, and Business Class, as well as PPS Club members and KrisFlyer members travelling in Premium Economy Class and Economy Class, will continue to have access to SIA’s unlimited complimentary wi-fi services on Starlink-enabled aircraft.
