The Association of Private ANS Organisations (APANSO) has been formally established to represent privately owned companies involved in the delivery and support of air navigation services across Europe.
Founded by Swedish air navigation service provider ACR Aviation Capacity Resources AB and Spanish provider Skyway, the non-profit association aims to provide a collective voice for independent organisations and contribute to European policy and regulatory discussions.
APANSO is open to private-sector organisations across the air navigation services ecosystem, including air navigation service providers (ANSPs), meteorological service companies, training organisations, technology and equipment suppliers, and engineering and technical service providers.
The association said it will engage with policymakers, regulators, airports, airlines, public and private ANSPs and industry associations on issues affecting the development of air navigation services. Its stated priorities include transparency, fair competition, innovation and performance-driven service delivery within established safety and regulatory frameworks.
APANSO is chaired by Raquel Martinez Arnaiz. The association announced its establishment on 4 November and said it plans to hold an industry launch with partners in spring 2027.
