Entrol, a manufacturer of EASA and FAA-certified flight simulators, has announced that the Bell 412 simulator operated by Global Helicopter Service (GHS) has achieved FTD Level 3 certification, certified by the German Luftfahrt-Bundesamt (LBA).
“The certification of this FTD Level 3 by the LBA is a testament to the technical quality we provide to our partners in Germany,” said Íñigo Hernández, Business Development Manager at entrol. “Working with a prestigious operator like GHS has allowed us to demonstrate that our technology is the perfect bridge between theory and operational excellence. With this simulator, we are not just training to meet regulations – we are training to ensure that every pilot and hoist operator returns home safely after complex IFR, PBN or firefighting missions.”
The device is incorporated with a Mixed Reality Hoist operator station for rescue training and is equipped with a high-resolution satellite image database for firefighting training exercises.
