UK-headquartered aviation services provider Menzies Aviation handled 2.4m tonnes of cargo across 76 facilities in 2025, but volumes were flat on 2024.
Menzies’ 2025 Annual Review showed that cargo volumes handled in 2024 were also 2.4m tonnes, up 20% from 2m in 2023.
The company did not comment on the business factors that impacted its results, but air cargo demand did not grow as much in 2025 as it did in 2024.
Menzies handled 330,000 freight forwarding shipments last year, and served 5.3m flights, up from 4.8m the year before.
The company secured a number of major contract wins and partnerships to expand its operations internationally.
In December, Menzies Aviation launched operations in Belgium through a freighter aircraft ramp handling deal with LATAM Cargo at Brussels Airport.
Earlier in the year, Airport Service Budapest Zrt. (AS Budapest) transferred its ground handling and cargo operations at Budapest Liszt Ferenc International Airport (BUD) to Menzies Aviation as part of a partnership deal.
Menzies also expanded its cargo handling operations in Iraq to Mosul International Airport (OSM) through its MASIL joint venture with Iraqi Airways, Air BP and Al-Burhan Group.
The company further opened its third cargo warehouse at Sydney International Airport (SYD), designed to support growing demand for temperature-sensitive and e-commerce cargo.
Acquisitions also helped Menzies grow its international cargo business.
In September, the company acquired Spirit Cargo Handling, an airfreight handler owned by SAS Ground Handling Norway. The acquisition represented the company’s first air cargo operation and warehouse in Norway
In August, Menzies Aviation also completed its $305m acquisition of G2 Secure Staff and become the largest independent aviation services provider in the US.
