The magazines were the beginning. Plus is our new era.
MHM is ushering in a new era for its flagship aviation media titles — Vertical, Vertical Valor, and Skies — with the launch of a rebrand that reflects their expansion beyond print into multi-platform media offerings.
Introducing, Vertical Plus, Valor Plus, and Skies Plus.
The rebrand represents what the Vertical, Vertical Valor, and Skies brands have become over the last several years: far more than magazines. While each title began in print, MHM’s platforms now encompass digital storytelling through online magazines, web articles and e-newsletters, as well as video, podcasts, social media, live events, and more — all to deliver greater value to aviation audiences.
“Long before the industry began shifting away from single-format publishing, we were building platforms that reflect how people actually consume content today,” said MHM co-owner Mike Reyno. “‘Plus’ is simply the clearest expression of what our brands already are.
“This is something other aviation media aren’t doing at this scale or quality.”
Launched in 2002, Vertical is “the pulse of the rotorcraft industry,” and is renowned as the industry’s most-trusted resource worldwide. Vertical Valor (formerly Vertical 911) followed in 2008 and is the leading authority on the global public safety and military rotorcraft sectors. Skies joined MHM’s repertoire in 2011 and quickly became the premier source for Canadian aviation news coverage.
Vertical Plus, Valor Plus, and Skies Plus will continue to provide the trusted journalism, industry insight, and compelling storytelling audiences expect, while continuing to embrace multimedia formats and new ways to connect with readers, viewers, and listeners.

With a core team of 26 based across Canada, the United States, and the United Kingdom, these brands remain closely connected to the industries, operators, and communities they report on.
Readers will notice the transition to the “Plus” branding beginning with the February/March 2026 digital issue of Vertical Plus, which is now available to read for free at verticalmag.com/issues.
“For MHM, ‘Plus’ is not a departure from our roots,” said co-owner Linda Reyno. “Rather, it’s a reflection of how the company’s roots have and will continue to evolve.”
