Pilatus announced on April 1 that it has acquired Air Alliance GmbH, a German company specializing in Pilatus aircraft sales, maintenance, and flight training. The transaction covers Air Alliance’s entire workforce of approximately 120 employees and its operations in Germany and Austria.
The deal excludes Unicair GmbH, Air Alliance’s global ambulance flight subsidiary, which will continue operating independently. René Petersen, the current Managing Director of Air Alliance, will remain as CEO, leading the company under Pilatus ownership.
Air Alliance has served as an authorized Pilatus Sales & Service Center since 2014, providing sales and technical support for the PC-12 and PC-24 models, along with flight training and managed commercial flights for these aircraft under an air operator certificate.

Pilatus Chairman Hansueli Loosli described the deal as an opportunity to “leverage synergies and move even closer to our customers with the Pilatus brand and our own services”. René Petersen stated, “Pilatus will allow us to embark on further growth in our markets and areas of strengths – something which we could not have achieved at the planned pace without a partner as strong as Pilatus.”
The acquisition remains subject to regulatory approvals, including from the German Federal Aviation Authority. Pilatus delivered 147 aircraft worldwide in 2025, with Europe representing a significant share of its PC-12 and PC-24 customer base.
