Rise Aviation announced on Wednesday that it will be hosting a groundbreaking ceremony at the North Texas Regional Airport (GYI) for its newest hangar development. The ceremony will be attended by business and community stakeholders and local, regional and state leaders. The ceremony will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 16.
The company states that the new hangar will further expand aviation infrastructure and support continued economic growth in Grayson County. It claims that the airport is uniquely positioned to accommodate increased demand for aviation services, corporate travel and industrial growth as business expands from the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. The hangar is supposed to strengthen its role as a gateway for business aviation and regional connectivity.
“For more than 30 years, our business has proudly served Grayson County, and we’re excited to take this next step with a beautiful new 63,100 square foot hangar complex that not only reflects our commitment to the community, but recognizes the bright future ahead,” said Cindy North from Rise Aviation. “This project not only enhances our operational capabilities it also creates over 50 new jobs for pilots, ground handling technicians, Aandamp;P Mechanics, and numerous other administrative positions to support families and create economic impact that will extend far beyond North Texas Regional Airport fueling growth and prosperity for the entire region.”
