Helicopter and jet charter Saxon Air has made significant investments into its growth strategy with the addition of five new managed helicopters since December 2025. With the new additions, Saxon’s fleet totals twelve rotary aircraft, and three more are expected to join the operation by April this year. The fleet now includes Leonardo AW109S, AW109 Trekker, AW109SP, AW119Kx, and Airbus H125 aircraft.
“Our rotary business is in the middle of a major phase of growth, with the fleet set to double from seven aircraft at the start of 2025 to fourteen by March 2026, positioning Saxon Air as one of Europe’s largest onshore charter helicopter operators,” said Miles Riches, Head of Rotary Sales at Saxon Air Helicopters. “The recent introduction of the AW109S, alongside brand new AW109SPs and Trekkers, further strengthens what will be the newest and most diverse fleet in the UK. Combined with our single-engine Airbus H125s, which plug a clear gap in the market, gives us a unique and highly flexible offering to our charter customers.”
The operator maintains helicopter bases across Denham, Elstree, Oxford, Redhill, and Norwich to provide optimised connectivity to London. Saxon also offers training support, CAMO and technical oversight, management and consultation, and aircraft sales and acquisition services.
Riches continued: “Ultimately, our success comes down to who we are as a business. We prioritise building long-term, personal relationships over transactions, and recognise that no two clients are the same; there is no one-size-fits-all approach, for both our management and charter clients. We have the strength and capability of a large corporate organisation, partnered with the ethos and values of the family-owned company that we are, allowing us to offer the very best of both worlds.”
