Job Description
PERMANENT, FULL-TIME POSITION AVAILABLE IMMEDIATELY
Skyline Helicopter Technologies is presently looking for dynamic individuals to fill the permanent full-time position of Aircraft Maintenance Engineers at our MRO facility in Sudbury, Ontario.
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – AS350
In this position, the AME will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the maintenance of multiple rotary aircraft systems and components of a diverse helicopter fleet.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance on multiple rotary aircraft types in compliance with the standards of airworthiness and the quality requirements of Skyline Helicopter Technologies
- Work as lead AME on aircraft for major inspections and refurbishment projects that include multiple engineers and technicians
- Troubleshoot, test and identify any issues and problems and propose viable solutions
- Ensure the final maintenance release in aircraft logbook has been accomplished in accordance with the regulatory requirements (TC, FAA)
- Complete all maintenance records and documentation as required in the Quantum Software System (work orders, job cards, etc.)
- Collaborate with Technical Records Clerk regarding the completion of work orders
2. Aircraft Maintenance Engineer – Avionics
In this position, the AME will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for the installation, replacement testing and troubleshooting instruments, avionics and electrical components in aircraft (rotary and fixed-wing)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Carry out modifications and installations/replacements of avionics, electrical components, assemblies and systems in rotary and fixed-wing aircraft according to manufacturer instructions and certification guidelines (Garmin, Genesys, etc)
- Conduct systems inspections, testing and troubleshooting of avionics and components using avionics test equipment (air data test sets, navigation and communication devices, ATC ramp testers, other)
- Coordinate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and/or the Design Approval Organization (DAO) to obtain repair design approvals as needed
- Perform both scheduled and emergency maintenance on multiple rotary aircraft types in compliance with the standards of airworthiness and the quality requirements of Skyline Helicopter Technologies
- Collaborating with Technical Records Clerk regarding the completion of work order
What are we looking for?
- Valid Transport Canada AME License
- AME position: Class type M1 or M2
- Avionics position: Class type E or M1/M2 license with documented Avionics experience
- Minimum 3-5 years experience (with endorsement on AS350 for AME position)
- Experience and/or endorsement on Bell 206-212-412 considered an asset
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, maintenance procedures as well as various schematic diagrams drawings for maintenance troubleshooting
- Proficient in use of computers and diagnostic tools, including electronic-based manuals
- Tool handling skills, knowledge on use of correct methods, procedure and techniques
- Ability to maintain a customer-focused attitude in a demanding, faced-paced environment
- Valid Canadian driver’s license G class
- Security background check required
