Last-mile delivery platform SpeedX has appointed Tim Lock as chief product officer as the company continues to expand its executive team.
Lock joins from AP Moller-Maersk where he was product head of last mile, leading “key product transformation”, while he was previously part of the country leadership team at DHL eCommerce, serving as Hong Kong Branch general manager.
In his new role at SpeedX, he will focus on strengthening the company’s product vision and delivery to “accelerate innovation, platform development and customer impact across its logistics network”.
“Tim brings hands-on expertise in last-mile and e-commerce logistics, with extensive experience building, standardising, and scaling last-mile products across complex, high-volume networks,” the company said in a press release.
“His career spans leadership positions across Asia, Europe, and the US, and he has consistently driven product strategy and operational transformation in fast-moving, large-scale logistics environments.”
SpeedX e-commerce deliveries now exceed 1m shipments a day across a network serving more than 12,000 zip codes in the US.
The company has made other senior appointments this year. In February, sister companies Accelerated Global Solutions (AGS) Logistics and SpeedX announced the appointment of Kristen Nguyen as vice president of sales.
Meawhile, last year, the company opened a new e-commerce and freight “superhub” close to Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
