Air Charter Services’ time-critical business achieved “huge growth” in its next-flight-out (NFO) offering last year due to the impact of geopolitical volatility.
The company’s NFO service is utilised by companies looking to quickly move shipments and has achieved a 175% year on year increase in shipments in 2025.
Robert Alleman, chief executive of ACS Time Critical, said that all three of its time-critical services (NFO, on-board courier and integrated road) had achieved large increases, but NFO had been the star performer.
“With recent geopolitical situations, tariffs, supply chain disruptions and rapid market changes, NFO has become an invaluable resource for a wide array of industries,” Alleman said.
“Having the IATA Cargo Accreditation affords us direct access to securing cargo capacity on virtually any airline, significantly increasing the speed at which we can book NFOs – increasing our efficiency, benefitting not only our team, but also our customers.”
In 2024, the company brought in Ash McCook to focus on developing the NFO offering.
Meanwhile, ACS’s OBC service recorded an 85% increase in jobs last year to reach record levels.
The US ground transportation department that arranges trucking for customers’ cargo registered a 53% increase in bookings last year.
Dan Morgan-Evans, ACS’s group cargo director, added: “We restructured our time-critical leadership team last year, with Robert as the new head, and Andreas Spies promoted to chief operating officer and it has really paid off.
“The future for ACS Time Critical is bright, following the huge strides they made last year and the team expansion we are currently undergoing.”
