Canavia Aviation Academy, based in the Canary Islands, has taken delivery of a new multiengine P2006T NG. The acquisition brings Canavia’s Tecnam fleet to nine aircraft, which includes six P2008JCs and three P2006Ts.
Canavia is a certified Approved Training Organisation (ATO) based in Gran Canaria. For the past 16 years the school has offered professional pilot training for students who seek careers at airlines. The school operates from a private airport in El Berriel, where the climate allows more than 300 flying days per year.
The Tecnam P2006T NG was chosen for the fleet to enhance multiengine training options. The P2006T NG sports a modern, fuel-efficient design and an airline-oriented glass cockpit.
Canavia is dedicating this new P2006T NG to longtime instructor Eduardo González Santana, noting his years of dedication and professionalism at the academy.
“This new aircraft represents our ongoing commitment to innovation and training excellence,” Mario Daniel Pons Grau, CEO and head of training at Canavia, said in a news release. “We are proud to honor Eduardo González Santana, a professional who has left an indelible mark on Canavia’s history.”
