Jiatai Aircraft Equipment, a Chinese manufacturer of aircraft seating, received the Airbus China Quality Champion Award at the 2026 Airbus China Suppliers Symposium in Tianjin, in recognition of its performance in terms of product quality, delivery reliability, supply chain collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Jiatai, which operates under AVIC Cabin Systems, was the only supplier to receive the award at this year’s Symposium. The award was presented to Jiatai representatives by Sandra Bour Schaeffer, senior vice president of cabin and cargo procurement at Airbus.
Jiatai has been listed on Airbus’ Approved Supplier List since 2016 and supplies passenger seats for the A320, A330, and A350 aircraft families, with products in service with multiple airlines worldwide. According to Jiatai, its core operational objectives are zero-defect manufacturing and 100% on-time delivery, supported by a quality management system spanning research and development, manufacturing, inspection, delivery, and after-sales support.
In recent years, Jiatai has developed intelligent manufacturing capabilities and digital quality management systems, implementing full-process traceability across its operations. The company has deepened collaboration with Airbus across technical standards, quality improvement, and supply chain coordination.
