Airbus Helicopters have delivered the 1,00oth H130 to Kenyan operator Rotorjet Aviation Company the company announced today. The new aircraft will join Rotorjet’s existing fleet which includes two H125s and takes the company’s H130T2 fleet to three and will be employed on a variety of missions including Medevac, Survey, Sightseeing and film and photography missions.
The H130 has been a steady performer for Airbus since service entry in 2012 doing very well in the HEMS market and tourism markets. In order help to meet demand for the 130 last month Airbus signed a contract with Mahindra Aerostructures which will see the Indian company take on main fuselage assembly of the type. The first Mahindra fuselage is expected to be delivered to the Marignane assembly line in March 2027.
