Formia, a supplier of airline amenities, has published its second Sustainability Report, covering the two-year period from 2024 to 2025, which shows an increase in its use of sustainable materials from 43% in 2024, to 53% in 2025. This figure surpasses the company’s an interim target of 50%.
Formia has also received an EcoVadis Gold rating, which puts it in the top 5% of companies assessed by the platform globally. EcoVadis is a provider of business sustainability ratings, which assesses and monitors the environmental, social, and ethical (ESG) performance of over 175,000 companies globally.
The Gold rating, received in March 2026, places Formia in the top 2% of companies in the non-specialised wholesale trade industry overall, and in the top 1% in terms of labour and human rights. The company has also recorded strong scores across EcoVadis’ environment, sustainable procurement, and ethics categories.
Formia also achieved 100% audit coverage of its tier 1 suppliers under the Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) framework during the period, and submitted its Communication on Progress to the United Nations Global Compact.
Recent factors in Formia’s sustainability rankings include the opening of its new Hong Kong headquarters, designed to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Gold and WELL Gold standards. Formia said expanded employee wellbeing programmes introduced alongside the new facility contributed to reduced absenteeism.
Roland Grohmann, chief executive and managing partner of Formia, said, “This report captures the progress we have made in integrating sustainability into the way we build and scale our business. We are proud of the advances achieved over the past two years, while remaining focused on the opportunities ahead.”
The full 2024–2025 report, which can be accessed here, builds on roadmaps set out in Formia’s inaugural 2023 sustainability report and introduces new targets to guide the next phase of the company’s sustainability programme.
