A Florida law enforcement agency has selected CENTUM’s Lifeseeker SAR XL S10 to support airborne search and rescue operations across its aviation fleet, both in Florida and other supporting states.
The project will be carried out in collaboration with Southeast Aerospace (SEA), which will serve as the integration partner for the programme.
SEA will support the integration of Lifeseeker across the planned aircraft platforms, bringing its experience in special mission aircraft modifications and avionics integration to the project.
The initial scope includes modifying two of the agency’s aircraft, with the system installed on to them. These installations will be configured to incorporate Lifeseeker into the aircraft’s existing special mission systems, providing operators with access to the system.
The systems will support public safety missions, helping aircrews locate missing persons through their cell phones, even in areas without network coverage.
Nathan Hernandez, BD Manager at SEA, said: “For the last 10 years SEA has been fortunate to service the state of Florida by modifying over 15 aircraft operated by the state. Being able to bring the Lifeseeker system into the capability of our great agencies has brought a new and great tool to the state of Florida.”
The programme is currently progressing through the integration phase, with deliveries expected later this year.
Héctor Estévez, CEO at CENTUM, said: “This project reflects the growing adoption of Lifeseeker among public safety aviation operators across the United States. Working alongside Southeast Aerospace represents another important step in expanding these capabilities to organisations responsible for protecting and assisting their communities.”
Both CENTUM (booth 331) and Southeast Aerospace (booth 117) are exhibiting at this week’s APSCON 2026 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
