HondaJet Elite II earns ANAC validation, first Brazil delivery

The HondaJet Elite II has received type validation in Brazil, and Honda delivered the first example in the country on August 3. The jet will be sold through Lider Aviação and is currently on display at LABACE 2026. Market Impact Lider Aviação is the exclusive HondaJet authorized sales representative for Brazil. It has supported nine HondaJet deliveries via its 22 FBOs throughout the country and since 2017 — a strong selling point for domestic buyers. The Elite II is in the same category as Phenom 100EV and Citation M2. The very light jet received type validation from the Brazilian National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), meaning ANAC accepts the type certificate granted by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The HondaJet Elite II has a maximum NBAA IFR range of 1,547 nm and a maximum cruise speed of 422 KTAS. It is designed with an over-the-wing engine mount, natural laminar flow wing and a composite fuselage for increased efficiency and performance. Honda describes the design as an integration of performance, efficiency, luxury, and technology. Honda also says it is the first very light jet with Emergency Autoland. Additionally, it adds Autothrottle to reduce pilot workload. What Buyers Should Watch The validation opens the market. The million dollar question now is demand and whether Brazilian buyers move to the Elite II in numbers on Embraer’s home turf. This first delivery is where that test begins.
