PHI Air Medical has announced the opening of a third base with partners Allegiance Mobile Health. The new base in Livingston opened in July and is the third new base the partnership has established in less than year following on from operations in Kirbyville and Bay City.
Since opening less than a year ago in November 2025, the Kirbyville base has brought emergency response services across Jasper County and neighboring communities in Southeast Texas. Just three months later, in February 2026, the successful cooperative expanded critical care coverage for local communities along the Gulf Coast region with the opening of the Bay City base. The new Livingston base will further extend access to advanced air medical services for residents across East Texas.
Each base is equipped to provide advanced care transport capabilities, with highly trained clinical staff across all three Texas bases that are trained to handle specialist equipment including, intra-aortic balloon pumps, fetal heart tone monitor, high-flow oxygen, impella, isolette, and whole blood on board. The full set of specialist capabilities cover, Critical Care Transport, RSI & Advanced Airway Management, Comprehensive Care Guidelines, Hamilton T1, High-Risk OB Services with EFM Monitoring, Third-ride capability, Pediatric safety restraint device, and Lucas CPR device.
