Cygnet has officially brought its first non-alcoholic spirit stateside.
The ultra-luxe Welsh gin brand just unveiled its NA gin in the U.S. this week, following behind its release in the U.K. earlier this year (Disclosure: The brand is also a partner of Robb Report). Called Infinity, the new spirit debuted at Robb Report’s Re:Well wellness retreat in Arizona, an intimate four-day gathering that allowed guests to reset and unwind with intent—anchored by their ability to tailor the weekend to their own desires.
That idea goes hand-in-hand with Infinity’s launch. Cygnet believes that intentional drinking is about what fits the moment at hand, as opposed to restriction. “As someone who loves the ritual of a gin yet often abstains before a performance, I know how limited the choices can feel for those of us seeking something truly special without alcohol,” classical singer Katherine Jenkins, the brand’s founder, said in a press statement. “Sharing a moment, glass in hand, shouldn’t mean compromise,” she continued.
The notion expanded to the Cygnet tipples on offer throughout the Re:Well experience, crafted from the new Infinity, of course. Instead of asking what guests wanted to drink when they sauntered up to the bar at Miraval Resort and Spa, patrons were asked what their intention was. From there, they could opt for one of three NA cocktails: Clarity, Vitality, and Stillness, all goals to be discovered through their journey at the retreat. In an added touch, each tipple was paired with plantable seed paper that matched the intention.
As for the NA gin itself, Cygnet gave its newest launch that same level of attention to detail. Instead of crafting a new formula for its NA option, the brand opted to remove the alcohol from its Cygnet 22 gin through a re-distillation process. Then, juniper and coriander were added back into the spirit to imbue it with more definition (some of which is lost during the alcohol’s removal), while Lion’s Mane, Siverian ginseng, Schisandra Berry, Capsicum, and Chrysanthemum joined the fray to provide a rich flavor profile.
“With Cygnet Infinity, our new non-alcoholic expression, we’re once again redefining what luxury spirits can be,” Matteo Fantacchiotti, the brand’s partner and chairman, said in a press statement. “We set out to create Cygnet as a true luxury icon, and Infinity sets a new standard in the non-alcoholic category. It’s proof that innovation isn’t about size; it’s about vision, courage and an uncompromising pursuit of excellence.”
Cygnet was founded in 2022 by Jenkins and filmmaker Andrew Levitas. The husband-and-wife duo brought the brand to life while on a quest to create a gin that was gentler on Jenkins’s vocal cords than a traditional spirit, which can affect the voice over time. As a result, the spirits are crafted with a key ingredient of manuka honey that helps protect the throat paired alongside more soothing botanicals such as bee pollen and chamomile. The lineup includes Cygnet Dry Welsh, that Cygnet 22, and Cygnet 77 (aged in Welsh whisky oak barrels)—and, now, Infinity. The new NA spirit retails for $40 on the brand’s website.
