Malaysia Airlines signed a long-term agreement with AFI KM E&M for component support on its Airbus A350 fleet. The deal expands its relationship with AFI KLM E&M, which already included Boeing 737 component support.
TransNusa Selects More Skywise Software For Maintenance Ops
Indonesian carrier TransNusa has signed a deal to adopt Skywise Core X2 and Skywise Fleet Performance+ software, which Skywise says are its first agreements in Indonesia for those software products. According to Skywise, the software products will enable TransNusa’s Maintenane Control Center team to see aircraft system status, detect anomalies early and identify technical trends to make informed maintenance decisions.

China Airlines Signs Long-Term APU Maintenance Contract With Revima For 787
China Airlines signed a long-term contract with Revima to maintain the APS5000 auxiliary power units on its 24 Boeing 787. The Taiwan-based carrier’s power-by-the-hour contract signed Sept. 22 also includes unbolted line-replaceable units, digital services for operational efficiency and predictive maintenance.
AirZeta Signs 737 Heavy Maintenance Contract With GMF AeroAsia Through 2030
South Korean cargo carrier AirZeta signed a contract with GMF AeroAsia for Boeing 737 heavy maintenance on Sept. 23 at MRO Asia-Pacific. The contract spans 2027-2030.
HAECO Secures Engine And Landing Gear Deals With Garuda, ANA
HAECO signed three contracts on Sept. 23. One covers three performance restoration shop visits (PRSV) on three Garuda Indonesia Airlines’ GE90 engines. HAECO Engine Services (Xiamen) will perform the work through 2028. This builds on an agreement signed in 2025 for four GE90 performance and one quick turn. The MRO also signed a new landing gear overhaul agreement with All Nippon Airways for Boeing 777-300ER and 777F fleets through 2030.
ST Engineering, Collins Aerospace Sign Three Component Support Contracts At MRO Asia-Pacific
ST Engineering and Collins Aerospace signed three multi-year component support contracts on Sept. 23 at MRO Asia-Pacific. The contracts will allow ST Engineering to repair Collins’ fan assembly electronic boards on Boeing 787s, which allows airlines another repair-versus-replace option. The second expands the number of narrowbody aircraft components, including for Boeing 737 MAXs, that ST Engineering can repair. The third expands the two companies’ collaboration on Airbus A320 and Boeing 737 line replaceable unit repairs through Collin’s FlightSense aftermarket support program. ST Engineering says that all three contracts involve LRUs that are scheduled to undergo their first major overhaul after a decade in service.
ST Engineering To Perform CFM56-7B Engine Maintenance For Hebei Airlines
ST Engineering also signed an agreement with Hebei Airlines on Sept. 23 to start performing performance restoration shop visits for the airline’s CFM56-7B engines that power the airline’s Boeing 737-800 fleet. The work will start this month at ST Engineering’s facility in Xiamen, China.

StandardAero, GMR Aero Technic Ink Engine Collaboration
StandardAero signed a Supplier Service Agreement with GMR Aero Technic that initially focuses on providing enhanced on-wing support services to operators in India for narrowbody engine platforms such as the CFM International CFM56-7B, Leap-1A and -1B. GMR says the combination of StandardAero’s engine expertise and its infrastructure and regional presence aims to create a responsive on-wing support network for customers in India.
Pioneer Taps APACS For Malaysia Logistics Support
Asia Pacific Aircraft Component Services (APACS) has signed an agreement to support Chicago-headquartered parts supplier Pioneer Aero Supply’s aerospace logistics and inventory management requirements in Malaysia. Under the partnership, APACS will manage key logistics activities on Pioneer’s behalf from its Shah Alam facility, including support for routine and AOG aircraft part needs.

Chromalloy Announces New V2500 PMA
Chromalloy has announced FAA certification of a new parts manufacturer approval (PMA) high-pressure turbine stage 1 blade for the IAE V2500 Select engine. The PMA is its fifth for the engine type under its development agreement with Lufthansa Technik. Chromalloy says it will ramp up production into 2027 to meet Lufthansa Technik’s growing customer demand, and it expects to send first shipments to its launch customer soon.
China Airlines Picks Liebherr For A350 Nose Landing Gear Overhaul
China Airlines has signed a commercial agreement with Liebherr-Aerospace covering overhaul of nose landing gear on its Airbus A350 fleet. Liebherr-Aerospace says the airline is its launch customer in Asia for its A350 nose landing gear overhaul program. The agreement starts this year and will continue through 2031.

Japan Airlines Parts Pooling
Japan Airlines extended its Embraer E170 and E190 parts Pool Program with the OEM for multiple years. The agreement covers support for a range of repairable components as well as component inventory close to the airline’s operations. The airline operates 32 of the jets.
SIA Airline Support Baltic Gets New Approvals
Latvian MRO provider SIA Airline Support Baltic has added new regulatory approvals from the FAA, India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation and Nigeria’s Civil Aviation Authority. The company says the new approvals will create new opportunities to attract customers from those markets.

JAL Renews Embraer E-Jet Pool Agreement
Embraer has signed a multi-year agreement to further extend its pool program with Japan Airlines (JAL) for the carrier’s fleet of 32 E170 and E190 aircraft. The agreement will provide support for a wide range of repairable components for Japan Airlines’ E-Jets fleet and also includes a large volume of component inventory available close to JAL’s operations, ensuring access to critical parts and minimizing operational disruptions.
VietJet, Thales Sign A320, A330 Parts Deal
Vietjet and Thales have signed an aftermarket services agreement related to components for the low-cost carrier’s Airbus A320 and A330 aircraft fleets. Under the terms of the contract, Thales will provide component maintenance services aimed at improving aircraft availability, reducing operating lifecycle costs and speeding up repairs.

Qatar Airways Adopts Defect Analysis Software
Qatar Airways has chosen Veryon Defect Analysis software to proactively identify recurring defects on its widebody fleet, which the software provider says can reduce unnecessary part replacements, minimize aircraft downtime, and streamline operational performance. Veryon says the software will also integrate with Qatar Airways’ existing maintenance technology tools.
Setna iO Acquires A330 For Disassembly
Setna iO has acquired an Airbus A330-300 formerly operated by Qatar Airways. It says the aircraft will be disassembled by ecube in Castellon, Spain, and the airframe and GE Aerospace CF6-80E engine material will be added to its inventory.

JAL Extends HAECO Line Maintenance Deal In Hong Kong
Japan Airlines (JAL) has extended its line maintenance contract with HAECO at Hong Kong International Airport through 2031. The deal expands HAECO’s service scope for JAL’s Boeing 737, 767, 767F, 777 and 787 aircraft to include deep cleaning and scheduled maintenance tasks.
Mint Turbines Gets Pratt & Whitney Canada Overhaul Authorization
Mint Turbines has been named a Pratt & Whitney Canada Designated Overhaul Facility for PT6A and PT6T series engines. Based in Stroud, Oklahoma, Mint Turbines also holds authorizations for GE Aerospace T700 and Ozark Aeroworks T53 engine platforms.

Mas Picks Epcor For APU Support
Mexican cargo carrier Mas has signed a new five-year agreement with Epcor covering support of the Honeywell GTCP331-350 auxiliary power units (APU) on its Airbus A330 fleet. Under the deal, Epcor will provide shop visit maintenance, lease for replacements, engineering support and Prognos predictive maintenance for the APUs.
Altitude Engineering Inks Xiamen Air Line Maintenance Deal At Heathrow
Dublin-based aircraft maintenance provider Altitude Engineering has signed a long-term line maintenance agreement with Xiamen Air. It will begin providing scheduled line maintenance services for Xiamen Air’s Boeing 787 operations at London Heathrow Airport this month as the carrier launches its new route there.

Uzbekistan Airways has signed a long-term component support agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) covering its Airbus A320ceo/neo and Boeing 787 fleets. Under the agreement, LHT will provide component pool support and supply services to the airline through 2035.
Boeing Extends Landing Gear Exchange Program To 737 MAX
Boeing announced it has successfully completed its first landing gear exchange for a 737 MAX. The OEM supplied an overhauled and certified landing gear assembly with an installation kit to American Airlines. Boeing says the exchange validates that it can apply an end-to-end approach consistently to the 737 MAX fleet.

MTU Wins First North African Leap Contracts
MTU Maintenance has signed its first maintenance contracts for CFM International Leap 1A engines in North Africa with Egyptian low-cost carrier Air Cairo. The agreement covers 42 Leap 1A engines powering 19 Airbus A320neo aircraft, the company says. The support agreement will be delivered jointly by MTU Maintenance Hannover in Germany and MTU Maintenance Zhuhai in China. Zhuhai serves as the MTU network’s specialist for narrowbody aircraft engines and has built up extensive Leap engine repair capability.
AFI KLM E&M Appoints Components SVP
Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has appointed Sylvain Fagot as senior vice president components at Air France Industries, effective Oct. 1, 2026. He succeeds François Gueguen, who will leave AFI KLM E&M to take on the role of executive vice president, fleet, engineering and maintenance at Transavia France.

AeroShark Certification Approaches For First Airbus Aircraft
Lufthansa Technik announced it is finalizing certification for its AeroShark drag-reducing surface film on an Airbus aircraft for the first time. The first Airbus aircraft to be equipped with AeroShark will be an A330 operated by German leisure carrier Discover Airlines.
BCT Aviation Maintenance Extends Narrowbody C Check Capability
The UK Civil Aviation Authority has given BCT Aviation Maintenance approval to extend its Part 145 base maintenance C check capability to 84 months for Airbus A320-family and Boeing 737 Classic and NG aircraft. BCT says its new ability to perform extended interval C checks on narrowbody platforms aims to provide operators and lessors with greater flexibility in managing high-cycle aircraft.

Ontic has acquired SIRS Navigation, a UK-based manufacturer of aviation compasses. Ontic says tens of thousands of the company’s products are in service worldwide “on virtually every major commercial and business aviation platform.”

Nayak Aircraft Services announced that it has acquired a controlling stake in LAS Maintenance, a line maintenance provider based in Portugal. LAS Maintenance will keep its existing management and operational structure under the arrangement, and Nayak says the move strengthens its presence in Southern Europe.
Veryon Acquires Polaris Aero
Aviation maintenance software provider Veryon has acquired Polaris Aero, an aviation safety management software company with products that MROs, charter operators and corporate flight departments use for compliance, risk assessment and operational safety enhancement. According to Veryon, the acquisition adds more than 200 new customers to its portfolio and significantly boosts its aviation safety and maintenance data, which it says will sharpen the accuracy of its artificial intelligence-powered data intelligence platform, Veryon AIRE.

StandardAero Opens Winnipeg Facility Expansion
StandardAero has opened its expanded facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The 70,000 ft.² expansion will provide full MRO support for GE Aerospace CF34-3/-8 and CFM International CFM56 engines.
JCB Aero Obtains Boeing Part 145 Maintenance Approval
JCB Aero has been granted Part 145 maintenance approval for Boeing aircraft. The approval includes line and base maintenance on Boeing 737-600, -700, -800 and -900 aircraft. JCB Aero launched MRO operations in October 2024 and also holds Airbus maintenance capabilities.

AerFin Announces Second Turning Rock Financing Transaction
AerFin has announced a second asset-backed financing transaction with private investment firm Turning Rock Partners, backed by three Airbus A220 aircraft. Under the terms of the transaction, the A220s will remain operational for an interim period before the airframes are disassembled and the engines transition to long-term lease arrangements. AerFin announced previous asset-backed financing with Turning Rock Partners in June 2025, with ORIX Aviation (which announced its acquisition of AerFin Aug. 3) serving as transaction advisor.
LHT Philippines Lands Extended Emirates Base Maintenance Contract
Emirates has extended its Airbus A380 base maintenance agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) through 2030. LHT Philippines will have two dedicated base maintenance lines for the carrier, and Emirates will be the launch customer at its new facility at Clark International Airport. LHT Philippines says the agreement is one of its largest by value in the company’s history.

Swiss International Airlines has broken ground on a new composite shop at Zurich Airport to support the repair and maintenance of modern composite components. The airline says the shop will enable it to handle more repairs in-house and increase its independence, flexibility and planning.
VSE Acquires Atech Turbine Components
VSE Corp. has acquired Atech Turbine Components, an Auburn, Massachusetts-based MRO provider specializing in complex hot-section components for aircraft turbine engines. VSE says the acquisition adds more than 300 specialized and proprietary repair approvals to its portfolio on engine platforms such as the Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6 and PW100.

WLFC Plans Johor Engine Repair Center
Willis Lease Finance Corporation (WLFC) has purchased land to build a new Willis Engine Repair Center in Johor, Malaysia. WLFC expects construction to be completed in the first quarter of 2027. The company already operates Willis Engine Repair Centers in Coconut Creek, Florida, and Bridgend, Wales.
Turkish Technic Announces Seventh Istanbul Hangar
Turkish Technic has announced plans for a seventh hangar at Istanbul Ataturk Airport that will be capable of accommodating two narrowbodies and one widebody aircraft simultaneously. The company says the new hangar will increase its maintenance capacity in Istanbul to 57 aircraft at the same time.
