Network Aviation Group has appointed Hendrik Falk as vice president of the Americas to succeed Paul Umpleby, who is retiring at the end of the year.
Falk started in his new role in September and brings more than three decades of leadership experience covering Europe, Asia and the Americas.
This experience comes alongside “an exceptional track record across major global cargo organisations”, the company said.
Falk has previously held senior roles at Lufthansa Cargo, Polar Air Cargo, World Airways, AirBridgeCargo, Swiss WorldCargo and Chapman Freeborn.
Most recently, since 2023, he has operated his own Atlanta-based consultancy, Altovolo Air Cargo Services, supporting various global aviation-related projects.
“With his comprehensive expertise across airlines, ACMI providers and charter brokerage, Hendrik’s leadership will be a tremendous asset to Network Aviation Group as we continue to expand our business across the Americas. We extend a warm welcome to Hendrik and wish him every success in his new role,” said Jonathan Clark, Network Aviation Group chief executive.
The appointment of Falk comes shortly after the company’s freighter business – Network Airline Management (NAM) – added its fifth aircraft as it looks to keep pace with strong customer demand.
The additional Boeing 747-400 converted freighter joined NAM’s fleet at the end of July and will operate out of the company’s primary hub of Liege Airport.
Meanwhile, its GSSA business – Network Airline Services – earlier this year opened an office in Nairobi.
