Shenzhen-based 3D printer maker Creality has made its K3, the latest flagship 3D printer in its K Series lineup, available for pre-order at $849 in the United States.
Recognized as an IFA Innovation Awards 2026 Honoree, the K3 introduces a proprietary four-nozzle system called KliTek that takes a distinctly different approach to multi-color 3D printing. And to understand why that matters, it helps to know what most consumer multi-color setups still involve.
Anyone who has tried multi-color 3D printing on a single-nozzle machine knows the rhythm. Load, purge, print a few layers, retract, load the next color, purge again. On a detailed model, that cycle can repeat hundreds of times, eating through filament and stretching prints well into overnight territory. It works, technically. But “technically works” has described a lot of consumer multi-color 3D printing for a while.
Where the K3 Claims Its Advantage
To tackle these compromises, the K3’s KliTek system keeps four nozzles ready to go, each with its own independent filament path, and swaps the active assembly in roughly five seconds.
According to Creality’s internal testing, this translates to total print times up to 80% shorter and material waste reduced by as much as 85% compared to conventional single-nozzle multi-color workflows.
Those are manufacturer-stated figures, and real-world results will vary depending on the model and materials involved. But the reasoning makes sense on paper. Reducing repeated purging at color changes addresses a major source of wasted time and plastic in multi-color FDM 3D printing. Complete material changes, not just color swaps, happen in under 15 seconds, which opens up possibilities beyond aesthetics.
And that is where the K3 starts to matter for users who need more than multi-color novelty prints. With optional accessories, you can mix nozzle diameters within a single print, using a fine 0.2 mm nozzle for detailed surfaces and a 0.8 mm nozzle for faster infill, which Creality says can improve printing efficiency by up to 30%.

The machine also supports flexible filaments from TPU 85A to TPU 95A through its S-Drive Dual-Drive feeding system, with flow rates reaching up to 15 mm³/s with TPU 95A according to Creality, roughly seven times what standard consumer printers manage under specified testing conditions. Both require optional accessories sold separately.
The K3 also offers CMYK color blending, using translucent filaments and controlled layer stacking to produce a broader color spectrum, one that could open up creative possibilities as users explore it.
On the hardware side, the K3 prints at speeds up to 500 mm/s with 20,000 mm/s² acceleration across a 260 mm cube build volume. Its 300°C hot end and 100°C heated bed cover PLA, PET, PETG, and PCTG out of the box, with optional accessories expanding compatibility to engineering-grade, flexible, and soluble filaments. What stands out is the sensor count. Thirty-seven total, 12 of them dedicated to monitoring nozzle alignment and locking during swaps.
In Creality’s lab testing, the system held repeatability below 25 μm over more than 800,000 nozzle changes. How that precision holds up over extended real-world use remains to be seen, but the engineering attention is clearly there. The manufacturer also claims 30% greater structural rigidity and a 7 dB reduction in noise, which would make it a quieter option for shared spaces.

Technical specifications and pricing
Priced at $849, the K3 is available for pre-order now, with a promotion running through November 30, 2026 that includes four rolls of Hyper PLA filament and free shipping through Creality’s official store. European availability is expected in December.
