Recaro Holding is rebranding its AAT Composites subsidiary, a manufacturer of fibre composite products for the aviation industry, to become known as Recaro Composites.
The new name aligns AAT with the activities of other Recaro Group business units – particularly Recaro Aircraft Seating, Recaro Gaming, and Recaro Rail – as a way to accelerate innovation across product portfolios. The rebrand is also intended to help position Recaro Composites to gain business in developing lightweight materials for alternative modes of transportation such as eVTOLs.
Recaro Aircraft Seating took over a majority stake in AAT Composites in 2004. The company, located in Cape Town, South Africa, has four decades of technical expertise in the design, development and manufacturing of lightweight composite components, including for Recaro Aircraft Seating.
“This transformation represents more than a name change – it’s a clear signal of our ambition to elevate our composites capabilities for seating applications within the Recaro Group,” said Mark Hiller, CEO of Recaro Aircraft Seating and CEO of Recaro Holding. “By aligning with the Recaro brand, we are reinforcing our commitment to innovation, quality, and engineering excellence across all markets we serve.”
