Counter-uncrewed aerial systems (C-UAS) technology developers and providers AeroVironment, Inc. (AV) and Quantum-Systems, Inc. have each announced US expansions this week.
AV will invest USD 100 million in a unified company-owned campus on approximately 20 acres in Moorpark, California. The campus will bring teams and capabilities from five leased Southern California locations together. Renovation and construction activities are expected to begin in fiscal 2028, with employee transitions occurring in phases and the campus expected to be fully operational in 2029.
Meanwhile, Quantum-Systems has opened a new 300-square-metre engineering and research and development office in Huntsville, Alabama. Located in Upland Park, adjacent to Cummings Research Park, the new office puts the company’s engineering and R&D resources closer to its defence customers and partners to enable more direct collaboration.
