Air Canada Cargo is expanding its freighter network with the addition of new flights to Amsterdam Schiphol, Monterrey and Panama City.
The twice-weekly service to Amsterdam begins October 29 and will complement Air Canada’s passenger flights to the city.
Meanwhile, the Monterrey and Panama City flights will “deepen freighter connectivity to important manufacturing and distribution markets in Mexico and Central America”.
The flight to Monterrey begins on 26 October and will operate three times per week. The operation to Panama City starts on 25 October and flies two times each week.
“Together, the three freighter destinations broaden Air Canada Cargo’s scheduled freighter offering from Toronto and create additional routing options between Europe, Canada and Latin America,” the carrier said.
Matthieu Casey, managing director, commercial – cargo at Air Canada, said: “The introduction of our freighters in Amsterdam is an important step in strengthening our European network.
“This gives us dedicated main-deck capacity at a time of year when transatlantic capacity is more constrained, helping us better serve customers in the Netherlands and across Europe while creating opportunities to connect their cargo through our global network.
“Together with new freighter service to Monterrey and Panama City, these additions enhance two-way connectivity between Europe and our growing Latin American network, creating more opportunities to reach key markets such as Quito, Lima, Bogotá and Mexico City.”
Carl Jones, head of aviation business development, Toronto Pearson, added: “This expanded service reinforces trade links between Canada, Europe and Latin America, creating new opportunities for businesses and improving access to key global markets.”
