Airbus announced on Wednesday the launch of its newest subsidiary, Skywise.
Skywise is an aviation digital services company that merges Skywise digital solutions and Navblue solutions into a single entity. Airbus states that it is meant to address evolving customer needs in a quickly changing environment and that its platform is connected to more than 12,000 aircraft.
Skywise claims that it integrates planning and operations control, flight, technical and ground operations for Airbus. The service will also be available for non-Airbus fleets as well. It will leverage years of Navblue’s flight operations expertise to target future trends in the airline digital services market. The company’s goal is to further support operator efficiency while growing its service revenue through digital optimisation and lifecycle management by streamlining its digital services
