Two years ago, the England-based Four Quarters polo team—owned by businessman Simon Arber and his wife, Romilla, the founder and CEO of Honesty Group—claimed their fifth win at the Royal Windsor Cup, earning a place in the tournament’s record books. The achievement came at Guards Polo Club, only a 12-minute drive from the team’s private headquarters, known as Emsworth Polo Grounds, near Windsor.
Built to support large-scale polo and equestrian operations, the Winkfield estate spans 72 acres with multiple residences, clubhouses, and six stable blocks for housing roughly 120 horses. The Arber’s raised their children at the property, where they developed relationships with polo stars like Adolfo Cambiaso and his son, Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso Jr., who have trained on site and competed alongside the Four Quarters team.

“It is a cherished family home where a true polo legacy was cultivated,” the press materials state. That history is only part of what makes the estate so rare. The property comprises 13 distinct buildings, including two turnkey residences, an American barn with attached apartments, and two studio flats. Alex Isidro, managing director of UK Sotheby’s International Real Estate, notes that strict development protections in the Windsor-Ascot corridor have made established properties of this scale increasingly scarce.
The contemporary main residence, GoDown House, has five bedrooms and a light-filled interior designed to connect the house with its surrounding landscape. A slatted wood wall in the dining area of the gourmet kitchen, hardwood floors, and expanses of glass give the interiors a warm, modern character. Elsewhere on the estate, a gatehouse provides accommodation for up to seven staff members, including managers and grooms.

The 72-acre estate’s equestrian elements include a riding arena and training track.

Additional yard facilities such as tack rooms, an outdoor arena, and a jump course further support equine activities near two private irrigation lakes. Two clubhouses, known as the Stable Yard bar and the Fieldside pavilion, provide dedicated spaces for hosting special occasions and sponsorship events, plus post-match debriefs with the team.
“Having enjoyed more than 20 years of polo at Emsworth, Simon and Romilla feel the time is right to begin a new chapter and focus on other priorities,” co-listing agent Jessica Moreton of UK Sotheby’s International Realty tells Robb Report. She goes on to say “the polo team will not continue on the grounds following the sale, presenting a rare opportunity for a new owner to shape the future of this exceptional estate.” She goes on to say that the Four Quarters team will leave the property following the sale, allowing the next owner to determine how the estate is used going forward.
Emsworth Polo Grounds is now available for $26.3 million (£20,000,000) with Alex Collins and Jessica Moreton of UK Sotheby’s International Realty.
